Free App Store
Screenshot Maker
Put your raw app screenshots into clean device frames with captions and backgrounds, then export every size the App Store and Google Play ask for in one ZIP.
Slides sit side by side as they do in the store, so continuous backgrounds and panoramas line up.

What is the App Store Screenshot Maker?
Store screenshots are the first thing people see on your app's listing, and both stores ask for specific sizes. This free tool turns plain screenshots into a designed, captioned set and exports all the sizes at once, in as many languages as you need. It runs entirely in your browser: no account, no upload, no watermark.

// How It Works
From raw screenshots to store-ready sets in five steps
One design adapts to every store size; you only style it once.
Add screenshots
Drop your raw app screenshots. Each becomes a slide; the tool opens with three sample slides so you can see the result first.
Write the captions
Give each slide a short headline and an optional line underneath. Lead with the benefit, not the feature name.
Style the set
Pick a background, font and device color once for all slides. Make the background continuous and span a device across two slides.
Add languages
Duplicate the captions into more languages and translate them; each language exports into its own folder.
Export
Choose the App Store and Google Play sizes you need and download one ZIP, with folders ready to upload.

How it works, and what it can't do
Where the sizes come from and what the exported files are.
Where the sizes come from
Every size is in one config file, taken from Apple's App Store Connect screenshot specifications and Google Play's preview asset rules, checked 30 October 2026. The export marks which sizes each store currently requires. Stores change these rules, so check the linked pages before a big release.
How images are rendered
Each image is drawn from scratch at its exact store size, never scaled up from the preview, so text and frames stay sharp. Files are saved as PNG without an alpha channel, because both stores reject screenshots with transparency.
About the device frames
The frames are original, generic drawings made in code: a rounded body, a screen and an optional camera cutout. They don't copy Apple or Google device artwork, which those companies restrict, and they don't claim to match any specific model.
What it cannot do
It can't capture screenshots from your app, translate captions for you, or check your images against App Review or Google Play policy. Fonts cover Latin-script languages; other scripts fall back to system fonts. App preview videos aren't supported.
// Examples
Three common setups
Illustrative: each uses the tool's sample habit-tracker screens, which you can restyle above.
An iPhone-only launch
Keep the two required iPhone sizes, add 4 to 6 slides with one benefit each, and export. Apple scales them down for older iPhones.
One set for both stores
Tick the iPhone sizes and the Google Play phone size. The same design reflows to each aspect ratio, and the feature graphic is made from slide 1.
A panorama story
Turn on a continuous background and let the device on slide 1 span into slide 2, so the set reads as one scene as people swipe.

// FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which screenshot sizes do Apple and Google need right now?
As checked on 30 October 2026: Apple requires at least one iPhone screenshot for the medium Dynamic Island display (1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556) and one for the large display (1320 × 2868, or the older Face ID 1284 × 2778), plus iPad 13-inch (2064 × 2752) if your app runs on iPad. Google Play phone screenshots can be 320 to 3840 px with the long side at most twice the short side; 1080 × 1920 also qualifies for promotion. The tool marks which sizes are required and links to both official pages.
Can I make screenshots for iPad and Android tablets?
Yes. Tick the iPad 13-inch size or the Android tablet sizes in Export. For the best result, add a tablet screenshot to each slide; without one, the tablet image shows your phone screenshot in a phone frame. Google asks for at least four tablet screenshots.
How do localized screenshots work?
Add a language in the Languages panel. It starts as a copy of your current captions, which you then translate slide by slide. The ZIP gets one folder per language, each with app-store and google-play subfolders, ready to upload to the matching localization.
Do you store my screenshots?
No. Your screenshots are opened, drawn and zipped in your browser and never uploaded to our server. Nothing is kept after you close the page.
Why are the PNGs saved without transparency?
App Store Connect rejects screenshots with an alpha channel, and Google Play asks for 24-bit PNG or JPEG without alpha. Browsers normally save canvas images with an alpha channel, so the tool writes its own RGB PNG files instead.
Are the device frames real Apple or Google devices?
No. They're original, generic frames drawn in code, with a choice of camera cutout and color. Apple and Google restrict use of their device artwork, so generic frames keep your screenshots clear of that.
Can I use the screenshots commercially?
Yes. The frames and layouts are original and the fonts are open-licensed, so the exports are yours to use on your store listings, website and ads. You need the rights to the screenshots and images you upload.

How it works, data handling & limitations
- How it works
- Screenshots are read in the browser and every image is drawn on a canvas at its exact store size from one shared layout: background, caption, and an original device frame with the screenshot cropped to fit. Images are encoded as 24-bit PNGs without alpha and zipped with JSZip. Store sizes live in one config file with the date and source pages they were checked against.
- Data & privacy
- Your screenshots, captions and exports stay in your browser. The tool does not upload them to our server, store them in a database or log downloads. Site analytics, ads and normal page requests still apply.
- How we evaluate/test it
- Store size rules, layout maths (screenshot cropping, device geometry, caption fitting, device placement and panorama splitting), ZIP paths, project editing and RGB PNG encoding have automated tests. Exports were checked in Chrome on desktop for exact sizes and the absence of an alpha channel; uploads to App Store Connect and Play Console were not tested.
- Limitations
- Store requirements change; sizes were checked on 30 October 2026 and should be confirmed before a release. Frames are generic, not models of real devices. Captions are not translated for you, fonts cover Latin scripts, and the tool cannot check images against store review policies.
Use the contact form to report a bug, an incorrect result or a privacy concern. Include the tool name and result link when available.
Changelog
