Is Brand QR Studio completely free?
Yes. All QR types, styles, and export formats are free with no login required. PNG, SVG, and transparent exports are all included at no cost, with no watermark on any output.
Which QR code types are supported?
Website URL, WiFi credentials (SSID + password), WhatsApp chat links, UPI payment requests, Instagram profile links, Google Reviews, digital vCards (name, phone, email, company), and email links. Each type has a dedicated input form so you never have to format raw QR data manually.
Will the styled QR codes still scan reliably?
Yes. All exports use High (H) error correction level, which allows up to 30% of the QR pattern to be obscured or styled while remaining scannable by any QR reader including iOS Camera, Android Camera, WhatsApp, and dedicated QR apps.
Can I add my own logo to the QR code?
Yes. Upload any PNG or SVG logo and it will be centered inside the QR code pattern. The High error correction ensures the code remains fully scannable even with a logo covering the center. For best results, keep logo coverage below 25% of the QR area.
What export formats are available?
PNG at 1000×1000 px, suitable for digital use, printing on business cards, packaging, and signage. SVG for infinite scalability and editing in Illustrator, Figma, or Inkscape. Transparent PNG for compositing the QR code over any background without a white box.
What design options are available?
7 dot shape presets (square, rounded, dots, classy, extra-rounded, and more), corner square and corner dot style options, custom foreground color, custom background color, gradient fill mode, and logo upload. Combine these to match any brand identity.
Can I use the QR codes for commercial projects?
Absolutely. QR codes generated by Brand QR Studio carry no license restrictions. Use them on product packaging, business cards, restaurant menus, event posters, pitch decks, or any client deliverable without attribution.
How is this different from a basic QR code generator?
Most free QR generators produce a plain black-and-white grid. Brand QR Studio gives you dot shapes, corner styles, gradient fills, logo placement, and professional design presets, producing stylish QR codes you'd actually want to put on packaging, a storefront window, or a premium business card.
Does my data get sent to a server?
QR rendering runs in your browser. Downloads send the QR form contents, including any WiFi, UPI or vCard details you entered, styling, format and a hashed IP address to the server for storage and usage tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details and deletion requests.
What size should I export for print?
The PNG export is 1000×1000 px at 72 DPI, which prints cleanly at up to about 3.5 × 3.5 inches. For larger print sizes, banners, posters, standees, use the SVG export, which scales to any size without pixelation.
Can I make an inverted QR code with white on black?
Yes. Set the foreground color to white and the background to black (or any two colors you like) using the custom color pickers. High error correction keeps it fully scannable, just make sure there is still strong contrast between the two colors, an inverted QR code with low contrast between foreground and background may not scan reliably.
Why do some QR code generators charge money when this one is free?
Many QR generators put styling, logo embedding, or high-resolution export behind a paywall, or expire codes after a trial period. Brand QR Studio has none of that: every style, color option, and export format is free with no expiry, because the static codes are generated in your browser. Downloads still send form contents and metadata to our server for tracking.

How it works, data handling & limitations
- How it works
- The browser encodes your selected QR type and renders it with qr-code-styling, custom colors and optional logo. PNG/SVG exports are static codes; download tracking calls our server.
- Data & privacy
- Downloads send the complete QR form, styling, logo presence, mockup and format to our server, which stores them with timestamp and hashed IP. Form data can include WiFi passwords, UPI IDs, contact details or message text. QR images are not uploaded by this tracking call. The code is readable by anyone who scans it.
- How we evaluate/test it
- Source review confirms client rendering and input encoding. No documented cross-device scanner test suite was found. Test your exported code with the phones and apps your audience will use.
- Limitations
- Low contrast, logos, small print and styling can reduce scan reliability. Destination links may change or stop working even though the static code itself has no expiry. Verify payment/contact data before sharing.
